DAVID GARDINER-HILL

David's 3 sons were at Ironsides Rugby starting in around 2001. Starting as a Year Group Manager for u8s, David managed, coached and refereed for 5 years in one of the first 100+ year groups, transitioning the club from year groups with just a Head Coach working on his own to a team of coaches, managers, first aiders, safeguarders, referees, etc. for each year group as there is now.

David then worked with a team to get the rugby club Juniors organised as they grew exponentially. We then sorted out the constitutions and merged BIRFC Ltd (the seniors) with Battersea Ironsides Mini Rugby.

A broader team went on to rebuild BISC (2007-10). Discover the main landlord, fund (300k) and acquire the Sports Ground. Then to work with Hornsby House to fund (£400k) and build the AGP (opened in Feb 2018).

We set up BISOL to protect the club and it's leadership team from the heavy liabilities of operating a sports ground as an unincorporated Members Club.

David has been on the board of BISC for quite a while and is the go to source for any legal or property questions.

David negotiated the Hornsby House partnership and recruited Broomwood FC and Powerplay. These usage agreements have transformed the club finances and provided us with the Artifical Grass Pitch.

PHILIP WRIGHT

Club Treasurer

Philip has been an Ironsides Rugby dad He took over the finances about 5 years ago. Having helped the board sort out the accounts as well as doing all the tedious book keeping, and sorted the AGP project finances he now plans a well earned retirement (or more actually to work even harder in his day job!!

We desperately need a Club Secretary to keep the boards of BISC and BISOL in order and properly documented and take on some of the day to day management portfolio

Chirs is a long standing member of Senior Rugby, a well known charachter around the club. Chris has stepped up to help bring the bar and kitchen through a difficult time.
